Do not be ashamed of the Gospel.

Many Christian leaders are ashamed of the Gospel. When they find themselves in a circumstance where they want to defend their image before people, they compromise the true Gospel.

We are in an age where people are happy to be called Christian, because in many countries there is no physical persecution on those who become Christians, and because those who identify themselves with Jesus are considered as good people. Besides, there is a very wrong idea among people about who a true Christian is and who Christ really is and about the Holiness of God.

We will watch these videos and compare between them to see how a true Christian proclaims the Gospel without any compromise. Actually, that’s because only a true Christian has experienced the saving power of the Gospel, as the Apostle Paul said:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.””
(Romans 1:16-17)

Without this Gospel there is no Salvation, because it is the power of God for Salvation. And it is the power for Salvation, and not another Law like that of Moses. The Gospel is not given to you so that you may try to keep some commandments and then probably get saved, as many think. While the Law says you should keep the commandments 100% in order to save yourself (which is impossible,) the Gospel says that you should put your trust on Jesus alone because He finished the work of Salvation on the cross. If Jesus is the only one who finished that work, and no one else, then there is Salvation in no one else but Jesus, just as Jesus Himself said, and also as His Apostle Peter said:

Jesus: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6)

Peter, talking about Jesus: “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

So let’s watch these three videos and see the difference:

A Roman Catholic Priest

Joel Osteen

John MacArthur, a Christian pastor

Which one of those preachers you think agrees with what God says in the Bible?
