The sin of homosexuality

Homosexuals brainwashing children in elementary school

“But this know, that in [the] last days difficult times shall be there; for men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, evil speakers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, profane, without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, of unsubdued passions, savage, having no love for what is good”

(2 Timothy 3: 1-3)

In all times, there were people who committed all the sins mentioned in these verses. And yet, in these days, the last days as the passage says, these have become the general and open characters of the worldly people; they have become public and without shame! Medias encourage self-love, boastfulness and evil speaking. There are even organizations who want to defend with arguments the rights of those who have unsubdued passions and who have no love for what is good. People express in media without shame their right to commit homosexuality; worse, they even call it natural and good, and accuse as homophobic and bad those who warn them for their sins. This is the age of calling what is bad good and what is good bad (see Isaiah 5:20)…

All this is because humans refused the knowledge of God. They have refused to know their Creator. From the beginning, the Creator made them one man (Adam) and one woman (Eve). And yet, they refused this natural and original order, to go to sinful and unnatural behaviors like polygamy and homosexuality.

Homosexuality is not a physical sickness. So it cannot be treated with human methods. Just as it is in the case of all sins, the homosexual feels that the whole of his nature is homosexual and that he can’t change that. And in fact, he is a slave to homosexuality by his choice. A slave cannot even imagine anything else but to obey his master’s commands. The homosexual is the slave of his sin. And it is by choice, as he refuses the Salvation of the Lord who can save him from homosexuality and from all sins; this Salvation is presented to him for free as a Gift from God in Christ Jesus. But he refuses that Salvation, thus proving that he loves his sin and he doesn’t want to be saved from it and to glorify God with his life. It is in this sense that his homosexuality is by choice. But it’s the choice of a slave who cannot choose but to obey his master which is sin.

The Bible makes it clear that homosexuality is a sin:

Jesus is God:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)

Before we begin to think whether homosexuality is a sin or not, we must make something very clear: This topic is not a matter of wishful human opinions and personal convictions. We must make sure that we understand that it is GOD who says that homosexuality is a sin. And Jesus is God.

Jesus is the One who created the heavens and the earth:

“And, Thou in the beginning, Lord, hast founded the earth, and works of thy hands are the heavens. They shall perish, but thou continuest still; and they all shall grow old as a garment, and as a covering shalt thou roll them up, and they shall be changed; but thou art the Same, and thy years shall not fail.” (Hebrews 1:10-12)

Jesus is that same God who created the heavens and the earth. He is the same Creator who originally created us one man and one woman. He neither created us a man and a man, nor a woman and a woman, nor multiple men with one woman, nor multiple women with one man, nor any other thing. He created us one man and one woman. So He didn’t create us homosexuals. Homosexuality is against the nature that God created. It is against the Will of God, i.e. against the Will of Jesus.

Jesus is the One who gave the Law to Moses:

Many people think that Jesus is someone other than the God who gave the Law to Moses. But the Bible makes it clear that Jesus is the Builder of the house, the same Creator who made everything and who is greater than Moses and who gave the Law to Moses:

“For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.” (Hebrews 3:3)

All of the prophets in the Old Testament took the Word of God from the Christ (who was not yet incarnated). The Apostle John makes this clear:

“These things Isaiah said because he saw His glory, and he spoke of Him.” (John 12:41)

And even before Moses existed, even before Abraham who lived before Moses existed, Jesus is God and He exists:

“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”
So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.””
(John 8:56-58)

So when you read the Law of Moses, remember that JESUS is its Author, and that it talks about Jesus, and it says everything that agrees with His mind and Will.

And Jesus clearly told us that we should establish the Law by faith. If we despise the Law and walk in lawlessness, we will not enter the Kingdom of God:

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:17-20)

So Jesus tells you to obey what the Law says.

In the Law, Jesus said that homosexuality is an abomination:

“You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.” (Leviticus 18:22)

So Jesus clearly said in the Law that homosexuality is a very bad sin; it is an abomination.

And when He was incarnated, Jesus told us that He didn’t come to destroy or to abolish what He said in the Law. He said He came to fulfill it, as we have seen in Matthew 5:17-20, and He warned that those who do not establish the Law by faith will by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Besides this, and as He is the Creator who created us naturally male and female, He warned us that all unnatural sexual relations done outside marriage that He instituted between one man and one woman are sinful:

– He created us one man and one woman, and in marriage man leaves his father and his mother, and not his two fathers or his two mothers, and is joined to his wife, and not to his husband:

“And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?” (Matthew 19:4-5)

– So everything outside of this holy institution of marriage between a man and a woman is a sinful sexual relation called fornication:

“For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.
“These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
( Matthew 15:19-20 )

So fornicationS (with s, i.e. plural) defile a man. And fornications are all sexual relations or thoughts that are contrary to the natural way God created us to be. “Fornications” is the Greek word “porneiai” from which we got the English word “pornography”. So homosexuality, which is one of those sexual relations and/or thoughts that are contrary to nature, is evil, according to Jesus, and its root is in the heart, as the homosexual loves his sin.

And Jesus is the same God who wrote the New Testament Books by His Holy Spirit through His Apostles:

The Apostle John said about the angel who was talking with him:

“Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.””” (Revelation 19:10)

So Jesus wrote the New Testament Books. They are totally HIS TESTIMONY. Just as all what is written in the Old Testament Books is the Word of God, the Word of Jesus, in the same way all what is written in the New Testament Books is the Word of God, the Word of Jesus.

The foolish objection that some homosexuals make is that what is said about homosexuality in the New Testament is not what Jesus said, but what the Apostle Paul said. And they ask for verses about homosexuality from what Jesus said. They don’t realize that all what they know as words of Jesus are in fact what the Apostles told us are words of Jesus…

So the whole Bible, including all the Epistles of the New Testament, is the Word of Jesus. That’s what JESUS said through His Apostles. It is the Holy Spirit who led the Apostles to write those things, and the Holy Spirit and Jesus are ONE.

And in the New Testament Jesus said that homosexuality is a sin:

Jesus spoke through His Apostle Paul in Romans 1, explaining how humans refused the knowledge of God, and thus fell in many sins and unnatural desires. One and a principle of those abominations was the sin of homosexuality:

“For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.” (Romans 1:26-27)

In this passage, the Lord calls homosexuality a shameful error and a vile passion which is against the natural use.

And some of the Christians in the local church of Corinth were homosexuals before they came to Christ. The Apostle Paul writes to them and tells them:

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

The Lord makes it clear in this passage through His Apostle that homosexuality is unrighteousness; it is against the Holy Nature of God. And all those who are homosexuals and refused the Salvation of the Lord will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

And here comes the good news with which I want to encourage every homosexual who wants to receive the Salvation of the Lord: Those Corinthians who were previously homosexuals were saved and cleansed from this sin when they received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Read about them:

“And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:11)

Now this is good news! If you believe what God says about your sin and you want to be saved, you can only rely on Jesus Christ. Just as those Corinthian homosexuals were washed and sanctified and justified in His Name, you can also be saved by Him today. Do not rely on what you can do. Don’t look to your total weakness before your sin. Rely on Christ alone, because He alone can save you. He will not make you better; He will save you and make you new.

And keep in your mind: When God tells you about your sin, it is not because He hates you or because He wants to mock you. On the contrary, it is because He loves you that He tells you about your spiritual sickness in order to give you the spiritual healing. If you don’t admit that homosexuality is a spiritual problem (i.e. sin) between you and God, then you will not come to Him for healing, and then you will go on in your blindness until you reach the second death, the eternal Hell. When I tell you about this, it’s not that I am not a sinner like you, or even a worse sinner! The truth is that the Lord saved me from my sins, and I want you to accept the same Salvation before it’s too late.

The Grace of the Lord be with you!

  1. Rod says:

[It’s still legal – and always God-honoring – to air messages like the following. (See Ezekiel 3:18-19.) In light of government backing of raunchy behavior (such offenders were even executed in early America!), maybe the separation we really need is the “separation of raunch and state”!]

In Luke 17 in the New Testament, Jesus said that one of the big “signs” that will happen shortly before His return to earth as Judge will be a repeat of the “days of Lot” (see Genesis 19 for details). So gays are actually helping to fulfill this same worldwide “sign” (and making the Bible even more believable!) and thus hurrying up the return of the Judge! They are accomplishing what many preachers haven’t accomplished! Gays couldn’t have accomplished this by just coming out of closets into bedrooms. Instead, they invented new architecture – you know, closets opening on to Main Streets where little kids would be able to watch naked men having sex with each other at festivals in places like San Francisco (where their underground saint – San Andreas – may soon get a big jolt out of what’s going on over his head!). Thanks, gays, for figuring out how to bring back our resurrected Saviour even quicker!

  2. Welcome, dear Rod!

It is good to tell the homosexuals and all sinners the truth of God as it is written in the Bible, without adding our own personal views and interpretations.

As we have seen in the original article, the Bible is clear concerning the sin of homosexuality. Of course, in the days of Lot the people of Sodom and Gomorrah had gone in the sin of homosexuality, but when the Lord was talking about the last days and the signs of His return, He didn’t use particularly homosexuality as a sign. So it was good that you have put the word “sign” in quotation marks. Actually, the Lord was talking about all kinds of worldliness. He first gave the example of the days of Noah, when all humans had gone into deep sinfulness and rebellion against the Will of God, and then gave the example of Lot as follows:

    “It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;
but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
“It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
“On that day, the one who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house must not go down to take them out; and likewise the one who is in the field must not turn back.
    “Remember Lot’s wife.”
    (Luke 17:28-32)

The Lord was talking about eating and drinking and buying and selling and planting and building. From the first sight, anyone would say these are not bad in themselves. But what the Lord was saying is that all these things were done by those people for selfish and worldly reasons, which makes them concerned only with worldly goals and treasures. And that’s the nature of sin: the flesh or the self. That’s what makes a person adulterer, thief, liar, homosexual, etc. As I said in the original post, all those sins, by becoming public and without shame, show us that the last days have come.

As for the return of the Lord, it doesn’t need the hurrying up of anyone. The times are in the hand of the Father. But it is right that the homosexuals are accomplishing the prophecies of the Bible about the last days without their knowledge, just as are doing all sinners who refuse to repent. And this shows that God is Sovereign and is in control of everything.

As for San Andreas, I prefer if we look to see what the living saints have to say and do against worldliness and open sinfulness instead of waiting for something from symbols and from dead men. The Lord tells us, His disciples:

    “Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap;
for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth.
“But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
    (Luke 21:34-36)

Dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life are sins just like homosexuality. Let’s be prepared by the Lord’s Spirit.

    Grace to you!
