If you confess… and believe… you will be saved

(Romans 10:9) “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus {as} Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;”

In this verse, the Apostle Paul is not talking about a simple acknowledgment of the mind that Jesus Christ is God and the Lord of the universe. Even demons know this truth. “You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.” (James 2:19)
Here, we are rather confessing a deep personal confidence, without any doubt, that Jesus Christ is our personal Lord and Savior and that is done by repenting from sin, trusting in Him ONLY for salvation and submitting to Him as Lord and Savior.

We have the ability to make this conscious decision of faith by grace.

When Jesus Christ died and resurrected on the third day, this was to establish the utmost truthfulness of His ministry.

Believing in this truth is necessary for salvation because it proves that Jesus Christ, God the Son, is who He claims to be AND that God the Father has accepted His sacrifice in the place of sinners.

Without Jesus resurrection there is no salvation. The Apostle Paul confirms that statement in his first letter to the Corinthians when he wrote: “and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:17)

The power of the Gospel delivers us from being lost, from remaining in the darkness of false religion, from the wrath of God, from willful spiritual ignorance and from evil self-indulgence.

The power of the Gospel rescues us from the ultimate penalty of our sin, from the eternal separation from God and from the eternal punishment.

Dear reader, did you know that “the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)? Dear friend, the Savior wants to save you and wash every sin away. By faith you experience His forgiveness and become a new creature, TODAY. If you truly care about your eternal life, CONFESS Him with your mouth as LORD and BELIEVE in your heart that God RAISED Him from the dead and you will be SAVED.

Are you sure that you are with Him? Then you can also be sure that He is with you, leading your every step. If you surely want to know about His Love, keep your eyes on the Cross. Your life matters ONLY because of Him. I invite you to have faith in Christ and step into the Light. Be free from sin and from Satan’s chains and become “slave of RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

We pray that He keeps using everyone of His children to proclaim the Good News to the whole world.

May the Lord always watch over you and give you peace!

Christservant.
