One Response to Regeneration vs. The Idolatry of Decisional “Evangelism” — By Paul Washer

This is one of the most powerful messages heard in a while. If you can listen to it all the way thru, it will make you think. When we share the gospel, the best idea is not the way used by well meaning people – its not a trick, its not suave words, its not psychology, its not all these tactics, its not asking permission for Jesus to save them – it is giving the gospel straight out, honest, piercing, that will pierce thru their hard heart. I also like the part where Paul Washer relates the story of the valley of the dry bones with Ezekiel the prophet .. the bones are so dry, that the marrow is even dried out. Ezekiel is told by God to speak to the bones that they may live. When Ezekiel gives the bones the word of the Lord, they come alive, piece by piece. This is what God does! This is actually the doctrine of Election. That the gospel is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. This is what we need – the true gospel. It takes God to put life into dead bones – i.e. dead souls to make them come alive and live – in Christ.. that is salvation!! We cant do it with mere humanistic ways – no cute words, no brilliant pleading with human strength only – can bring life to someone,, its God that does it – its the gospel – of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Well, Bro Paul explains it better than me.
